Founded by The University of Michigan
Born out of the OpenClaw community and its mission to put power in the hands of people and their sovereignty over personal AI, ClawCon is an open, social-first gathering—not a gated, developer-only conference or a traditional corporate trade show. Our events are free to attend and intentionally inclusive.

The OpenClaw Foundation and The University of Michigan are launching The Institute for Agentic Computing. The Institute will work closely with the OpenClaw Foundation to support ongoing maintenance and advancement of the OpenClaw platform. The Institute will also serve as a hub for collaborations among researchers and developers (in Michigan and around the world) who seek to build and apply agentic AI infrastructure to advance scientific discovery, engineering, and the broader knowledge economy. The Institute will also address foundational challenges of governance, alignment, trust, and responsible development that this technology demands.
OpenClaw and the University of Michigan will be announcing important Claw collaborations (clawlaborations?) on April 16 in Ann Arbor. Be the first to know, sign up for ClawCon Michigan now!
